We finished packing up all of our earthly belongings today. Ok, not ALL of them, but most of them. Happily they fit nicely in one large U-Haul trailer and the back of one mini-van pulling said trailer. So we are that much closer to having our junk in NC as opposed to littering the houses of our respective families in MN. Which is good.

YEAH!!! I figured out how to add "comments" to this blog thing.
It will encourage me to blog more (hint hint) if you would add your comments!
Depending on if crazy unknown folks start posting, I may switch my blog so that only "users" can post -- which means I'll have to give you permission to have you post -- which seems like more work than it's worth, so for now that won't be so, and it's open to the whole world to comment upon my life. Isn't the internet great?

On another note, I got most of my stuff packed today. Which is good, because tomorrow we rent a U Haul and begin carting it all away.

Have a great memorial day!

Ah! I'm back. Bet you thought I'd forgotten about this.
Well, I haven't. But life has been busy. A couple notes of excitement:

--We bought a car! That's right, as Steve says "we're a two car family! And we're not even a family yet!" The 1999 Saturn SL will be a great replacement for the 1993 Saturn stationwagon, a car with 250,000+ miles that just won't quit! When Steve and I share a home, we'll give "old faithful" to my brother, who, with the help of his friends, will, I'm sure, find a way to add 50,000 to the car before it quits, so that it'll die at an even 300,000. The SL, however, is a stick-shift. Prior to last month, I didn't really know how to drive stick. Now I do. Ah... the storys I could tell...

--Steve graduated. YEAH. Next time I'll see him with a cap & gown, the gown will bare the 3 stripes indicative of a doctoral degree. I'm VERY excited for that day.

--My sister graduated! Double YEAH. Next time I'll see her with a cap & gown, it'll... pretty much look the same as this last cap and gown. Nothing changes much between high school and college. You learn to take naps and stay up really late, but otherwise it's pretty much the same. Oh, I suppose the work is a bit harder...

--That's it. The rest of life's excitment comes next week. To do: find job, find apartment, hang out with Steve's mom, take a really long road trip. I'll let you know how it goes!

P.S. Anyone know how to add comments on this thing?
