One Year Finished
So I finished my first year of grad school. I received my grades today from all of my classes, and I passed them all. This is good news. Now I can relax for a bit before studying for qualifying exams in August.

Hey Steve, congrats! Go you!
Okay, that's all I'm talking to you... On to Laura... :> Bwa ha ha... I was so very confused, looking all over your sis-in-law's site to try to figure out who that was posting on my xanga. I did come to the conclusion that she knew you and Steve, but beyond that I was sure scratching my head. :> Thanks for the second comment, Laura!!! North Carolina would be great fun... I'm already going to FL twice to visit ben, WI for two weeks, and I'm trying to start the second book and plan out a new class I'm teaching next year. So it's more temporary boredom, but thanks for the offer nonetheless!! Maybe Wayne and I can plan to come to NC next summer! If you're still open to the option, I'll chat with him about it. :) Oh, and you guys are are nicely settled -- no plans on migrating anywhere any time soon, right? I only ask this because our friend who teaches history at our school is leaving, and we're looking for a history teacher to teach 8-10th grade history (or something along those lines). I know you guys are pretty solid there with Steven's school and all, but I wanted to just tell you in case. Okay! Back to relaxing... One half-day left before vacation!! Yippie!!! :>

Em,
If you'll bother to read this again,
I'd be there in a HEARTBEAT!!! That's an ideal spot for me, I'd love it...
But Steve still has 3 years (minimum) left, and I don't think he'd be happy with me leaving him for that time. :) Oh well. Incidently, do y'all have any colleges near you for Steve? :D
