Steve, it fits you (all others, see below).
Alright, I just want to say to all of you out there who have not yet seen an episode of it, Firefly ROCKS!
Watch it. It is sci-fi meets the wild west in good script writing, great characters, and hillarious scenes.
I'm going to get through the season, and then watch Serenity (the movie that was based off of it).

Comments:
I like River, super-genious girl who's just a bit crazy. I also like the mechanic. (Also a girl, also super smart.)
The script writing for the episode entitled "Mrs. Robinson" was hilarious, (it is the most sexual episode I've seen so far, which normally I HATE because it means the humor is cheap and the plot line garbage, but the script writers pulled it off quite well, so bravo to them!) although so far I've really enjoyed them all.

I can't believe it took you this long to watch it - but it is AMAZING. I have to admit I love all of the characters. Wash and Jane being two that have great lines frequently. Kaylie is so smart and that's why I like her... the episode that shows how she came on the ship was hilarious because I never thought of her that way...

There are so many lines that make me laugh that I don't know if I could even choose one.

Funny--Lorraine & I have just started watching it via Netflix, and I've enjoyed it. Lorraine didn't at first, but it's "growing" on her. We're halfway through the episodes, I think.

Tim, As are we!
We'll have to chat, compare notes.

And 10lee, I agree, it is a shame that it has taken me this long to discover it. Keep in mind that since it first aired I have not had cable t.v. I actually, as of August, do now, but it's not on TV anymore, which I think is the biggest shame of all. Watching these episodes is like savoring the last box of girl scout cookies, they're all the better because you know you can't just go get more. Unfortunately for this show, I don't know that they'll ever come around with new episodes again.

And, 10lee, I, too, thought it hillarious to see how Kaylie got the job.

Isn't Jayne's name spelled "Jayne"? I think I remember that from the episode in which they made a monument to him.

Oh, and the DVDs have Jayne doing his own personal tribute to the folk song written for him. It's a hidden extra, but it's fun!
